Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A surface trough though the Pilbara extends to the remnant low of Ex Tropical Cyclone Esther, currently over the southern inland Kimberley. The low will move east across the southern Kimberley and far north Interior during the remainder Sunday and Monday before reaching the NT border early Tuesday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is building south of the State. A high pressure cell will move well to the south of the State by Monday and reach the Bight on Wednesday. A surface trough develops near the west coast on Tuesday and persists into the latter part of the week.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 1 March
Rain and thunderstorms with heavy falls and damaging winds over the central inland Kimberley and far northern Interior. Showers and thunderstorms over remaining parts of the Interior and Kimberley, the Pilbara and northeast Gascoyne. Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 2 March
Rain and thunderstorms with heavy falls and damaging winds over the inland central Kimberley and the far northern Interior. Showers and thunderstorms over the remaining Kimberley, eastern Interior, Pilbara and central inland Gascoyne. Showers over the Eucla and near the south coast easing later.

Forecast for Tuesday 3 March
Rain and thunderstorms over the southeast Kimberley and the far northern Interior, clearing during the morning. Showers and thunderstorms over the remainder of the Kimberley and the western Pilbara. Showers near the Eucla coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 4 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley and the western Pilbara. Showers near the Eucla coast.

Forecast for Thursday 5 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the west Kimberley and near coastal Pilbara.
