Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the Pilbara coast to the North Interior and will remain near stationary over the next few days. The remnants of Ex Tropical Cyclone Esther lies over the west Kimberley and will move southeast across the southern Kimberley and far north Interior during Sunday and Monday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough lies over the South Interior, as a high pressure ridge develops south of the State. A high will lie well south of the State by Tuesday as a trough develops near the west coast. A return to drier conditions during Sunday and Monday as thunderstorm activity moves east and eases.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 29 February
Rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls and damaging winds over the Kimberley, mostly in the west. Showers and thunderstorms over the Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, southwestern Interior, Eucla and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers over remaining southern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 1 March
Rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls and damaging winds over the Kimberley and far northern Interior. Showers and thunderstorms over the Interior, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla. Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division, with early thunderstorms in the
east.

Forecast for Monday 2 March
Rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls and damaging winds over the Kimberley and the far northern Interior. Showers and thunderstorms over the Interior. Showers over the Eucla and near the south coast.

Forecast for Tuesday 3 March
Rain and thunderstorms over the southeast Kimberley and the far northern Interior, easing. Showers and thunderstorms over the remainder of the Kimberley and the western Pilbara. Showers near the Eucla coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 4 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Interior and the western Pilbara.
