Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A generally westerly flow persists over northern parts of the State. A surface
trough will develop through the Pilbara and Northern Interior from Wednesday
and persist into the weekend.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high pressure ridge lies south of the State. A trough is developing
near the west coast and will persist in this area through the remainder of the
week before moving eastwards on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 11 February
Areas of rain and the chance of thunderstorms over the southeastern Gascoyne,
far eastern parts of the Southwest Land Division and the southern Goldfields.
Moderate falls possible. Showers possible over remaining central and eastern
parts of the South West Land Division. Showers and thunderstorms over the
Kimberley, southeast Pilbara, Interior, remaining Goldfields and the far west
Eucla.
Forecast for Wednesday 12 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern inland Pilbara, eastern
Gascoyne, Interior and the adjacent Central West districts. Areas of rain with
the chance of a thunderstorm about the South East Coastal district, adjacent
southern Goldfields and the southern and western Eucla, clearing during the
day. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms over southwestern parts of the
Southwest Land Division.
Forecast for Thursday 13 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and the northern
Interior. Thunderstorms possible over western parts of the South West Land
Division.
Forecast for Friday 14 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, central Gascoyne
and the northern Interior. Showers and thunderstorms possible over central and
western parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Saturday 15 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne,
northern Interior, Goldfields and central and eastern parts of the South West
Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
