Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Damien lies over the far southern Pilbara, and will continue to track south into the Gascoyne on Sunday evening. A generally westerly flow will persist over northern parts of the State for the next few days.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high pressure ridge is developing south of the State. Ex-Tropical Cyclone Damien will move through the eastern Gascoyne on Monday before bringing some areas of rain to the east of the South West Land Division during Tuesday. A trough will develop near the west coast in the middle of the week.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 9 February
Areas of squally rain and thunderstorms with heavy falls possible over the far southern Pilbara and the northeast Gascoyne. Showers and possible thunderstorms over the remaining Pilbara, Kimberley, far northern Goldfields and the Interior.

Forecast for Monday 10 February
Areas of rain and thunderstorms with heavy falls possible over the eastern Gascoyne and the northern Goldfields. Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, remaining inland Gascoyne and the Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 11 February
Areas of rain and the chance of thunderstorms with moderate to heavy falls possible over the southeastern Gascoyne, eastern parts of the Southwest Land Division and the western Goldfields. Showers possible over remaining parts of the South West Land Division inland from the west coast. Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior and far west Eucla.

Forecast for Wednesday 12 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far eastern Pilbara and Interior. Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over eastern parts of the Southwest Land Division, southern Goldfields and western Eucla, clearing during the day. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms over far southwestern parts of the Southwest Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 13 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and the northern Interior. Thunderstorms possible over western parts of the South West Land Division, apart from along the west coast.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Monday.
