Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the inland Pilbara to the North Interior and deepen on Thursday before moving north into the southern Kimberley on Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep trough is over central parts of the state will continue to move eastwards into the South Interior on Thursday. A cold front will approach the Southwest Capes this evening and cross the southwest on Thursday before a new ridge develops to the south of the State on Friday. This ridge will strengthen further over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 29 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and far northeastern parts of the Interior. Showers developing over the Southwest and South Coastal districts during the evening.

Forecast for Thursday 30 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley adjacent Pilbara and northeastern parts of the Interior. Showers over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division and the adjacent Gascoyne coast.

Forecast for Friday 31 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far north Pilbara and eastern parts of the Interior. Possible showers along the south coast west of Israelite Bay, most likely during the morning.

Forecast for Saturday 1 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley, North Interior and adjacent eastern Pilbara and the far northeast of the South Interior districts.

Forecast for Sunday 2 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and adjacent Gascoyne, North Interior and adjacent South Interior districts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
