Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the inland Pilbara to the southern Kimberley. The trough will drift south into the North Interior during Wednesday and Thursday whilst deepening.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep through is moving slowly eastwards and will reach the South Interior on Thursday. A cold front will approach the Southwest Capes later on Wednesday and cross the southwest on Thursday before a new ridge develops to the south of the State on Friday. This ridge will strengthen further on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 28 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley and northeast Pilbara.

Forecast for Wednesday 29 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and far northeastern parts of the Interior. Showers developing over the Southwest and South Coastal districts during the day. Possible morning showers over the remaining south coast west of Esperance.

Forecast for Thursday 30 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeastern parts of the Interior. Showers over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division and the adjacent Gascoyne coast.

Forecast for Friday 31 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley and eastern parts of the Interior. Possible showers along the south coast west of Israelite Bay, most likely during the morning.

Forecast for Saturday 1 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley, North Interior and the far northeast of the South Interior districts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
