Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the inland of the Pilbara to the North Interior which will persist over the coming days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is building across the south of the State, with a fresh southwesterly flow along the south coast. The ridge will continue to build across the south on Thursday before eventually moving south of the State on Friday. A broad trough forms inland from the west coast on Friday and slowly deepen over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 22 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Pilbara and North Interior. Showers about the south coast and adjacent inland areas.

Forecast for Thursday 23 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and North Interior. Light showers about southern parts of the South West Land Division, southern Eucla and the adjacent Goldfields, clearing during the morning.

Forecast for Friday 24 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara and North Interior. Morning showers about the south coast west of Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Saturday 25 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, western Pilbara, North Interior and adjacent parts of the South Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 26 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, North Interior and adjacent parts of the South Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
