Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough lies inland from the Pilbara coast, pushing offshore from the western Pilbara coast over the next few mornings.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A new ridge will develop near the south coast on Monday and Tuesday. During Wednesday trough will develop through the Gascoyne and Goldfields. A weak front will brush the western south coast on Thursday, and the trough will deepen through the Goldfields.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 29 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, and northeast Gascoyne. Moderate rainfall possible about the north Kimberley coast. Light showers about coastal and adjacent parts between Lancelin and Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Monday 30 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern and central Interior and the far northern Gascoyne. Moderate rainfall possible about the northwest Kimberley coast. Chance of a morning shower over eastern parts of the South West Land Division and the adjacent Goldfields.

Forecast for Tuesday 31 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara and the northern Interior. Moderate rainfall possible about the northwest Kimberley coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 1 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, northeast Gascoyne, and extending to the the northern Goldfields in the afternoon.

Forecast for Thursday 2 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, northeast Gascoyne, Goldfields, and Eucla. Showers possible near the southern parts of the South West Land Division.
