Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure lies over northern parts of the State.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge will begin to develop near the south coast on Friday before a new trough develops near the west coast on Saturday. The trough will move eastwards on Sunday and Monday into the Goldfields and Gascoyne.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 19 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior, eastern Goldfields, Eucla, northeast Gascoyne and the adjacent South East Coastal district. Showers about the south coast west of Hopetoun in the evening.

Forecast for Friday 20 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara, Interior, northeast Gascoyne, northeastern Goldfields and Eucla. Showers about the south coast and adjacent inland parts west of Bremer Bay, clearing in the afternoon. Morning showers near the west coast south of Perth.

Forecast for Saturday 21 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, inland Gascoyne, Central Wheat Belt and the northwest Goldfields.

Forecast for Sunday 22 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, eastern Gascoyne, western Goldfields, western Eucla and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 23 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Interior, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.
