Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough lies near the west Kimberley and Pilbara coasts and will migrate to the inland Pilbara and Kimberley over the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure cell lies over the eastern Bight and a deep trough lies near the west coast. The trough will move inland from the west coast during Sunday and extend from the west coast through the Goldfields and southeast coast by Monday as a ridge of high pressure moves over the far southwest of the State.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 13 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, and northwestern parts of the Gascoyne.

Forecast for Saturday 14 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and the Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 15 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, Interior, northern and western Goldfields and northeastern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 16 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior, Goldfields, western Eucla, northern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division and the adjacent Gascoyne.

Forecast for Tuesday 17 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Eucla and the adjacent South East Coastal district.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
