Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies near the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts, and will remain there for the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over southwest WA whilst a deep surface trough extends through the Interior and Eucla. The trough will move east of the WA border later on Wednesday allowing the ridge to further extend through southern parts of the SW Land Division. A weak cold front will brush the southwest corner of the State on Wednesday and move into the Bight early Thursday. A ridge of high pressure will then build further over southern WA Thursday and Friday.

Showers and thunderstorms over the Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, northeast Goldfields, Interior and northern Eucla.

Forecast for Wednesday 23 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and Interior, mainly in the afternoon and early evening. Showers over areas southwest of a line from Lancelin to Hopetoun.

Forecast for Thursday 24 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and central Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and northeast Interior, mainly in the afternoon and early evening. Showers over southern coastal districts, clearing from the west during the day.

Forecast for Friday 25 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and northern Interior, mainly in the afternoon and evening. Showers possible southwest of a line Cape Naturaliste to Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Saturday 26 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, northern Interior and northeast Gascoyne, mainly in the afternoon and evening.
