Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies near the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts, and will remain there for the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep trough lies extends from the eastern Goldfields into the Eucla and will move east over the next few days. A ridge of high pressure will build over the southwest of the State in wake of the trough. A weak front will brush the south coast on Wednesday. A new ridge of high pressure will then develop along the south coast on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 21 October
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the western Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, Interior, northern and eastern Goldfields and Eucla, mainly in the afternoon and early evening. Showers developing over areas southwest of a line from Cape Naturaliste to Albany during the evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 22 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, Interior and northern Eucla, mainly in the afternoon and early evening. Showers over areas southwest of a line from Bunbury to Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Wednesday 23 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and Interior, mainly in the afternoon and early evening. Showers over areas southwest of a line from Perth to Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Thursday 24 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and central Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and northeast Interior, mainly in the afternoon and early evening. Showers near the south coast and Eucla coast.

Forecast for Friday 25 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and northern Interior, mainly in the afternoon and evening. Showers possible near the south coast between Windy Harbour and Bremer Bay.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
