Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the southern Kimberley through to the inland Pilbara. The trough will deepen and the western arm will move south to the Gascoyne over the weekend followed by a redevelopment of the trough near the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts early next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge lies south of the State and a high pressure cell will move into the Bight on Saturday. A trough will deepen near the west coast on Saturday before moving eastwards on Sunday, reaching the Eucla on Monday. Another ridge of high pressure will build over the southwest of the State in wake of the trough early next week.

Thunderstorms over the Interior and southeast Pilbara.

Forecast for Saturday 19 October
Thunderstorms over the Interior, extending into the Kimberley, southeast Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, inland Central West and adjacent Central Wheat Belt during the afternoon.

Forecast for Sunday 20 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, southeast Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division and western Eucla mainly in the afternoon and early evening.

Forecast for Monday 21 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior, eastern Goldfields and Eucla mainly in the afternoon and early evening. Showers also developing over areas southwest of a line Cape Naturaliste to Albany in the evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 22 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior and eastern Eucla mainly in the afternoon and early evening. Showers also over areas southwest of a line Bunbury to Bremer Bay.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
