Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough extends from the west Kimberley towards the Interior with a secondary trough branch also extending towards the Pilbara. Little change to this pattern is expected over the coming days, however the trough will deepen during Friday and contract east on Saturday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over the southeast of the State with a trough lying through central parts of the South West Land Division. The trough will move slowly east. A weak front approaches the Southwest Capes this evening and weaken as it moves over far southwestern parts of the South West Land Division. During Friday a low pressure system will deepen and then move over southern parts of the South West Land Division bringing wet and windy conditions before clearing into the Bight on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 2 October
Showers possible over western parts of the Southwest district this evening. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm in the Goldfields, South East Coastal, Eucla, far eastern Goldfields and the adjacent Interior districts.

Forecast for Thursday 3 October
Showers developing over areas southwest of Perth to Bremer Bay with thunderstorms possible over southern parts. Possible showers and thunderstorms over the southern Goldfields, the South East Coastal district and the Eucla. Very hot through the Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior and northern Eucla.

Forecast for Friday 4 October
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, southern Goldfields and the Eucla with thunderstorms possible over southern parts. Showers tending to areas of rain about the south coast. Gusty winds about western parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 5 October
Showers through the South West Land Division contracting to the south coast and the Eucla early Saturday morning. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms about the north Kimberley coast.

Forecast for Sunday 6 October
Light showers about the south coast. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms about the north Kimberley coast.
