Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough over the Kimberley, near the Pilbara coast and offshore from the west coast. A high pressure system lies in the Bight and is moving east. A middle level disturbance is over the North Interior and adjacent Kimberley which will contract east on Tuesday as the trough deepens and moves inland from the west coast.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system lies in the Bight and is moving east. A trough offshore from the west coast should deepen and move east on Tuesday ahead of a weak cold front which moves over the southwest corner of the state on Wednesday. The ridge redevelops south of the state on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 23 September
Rain and thunderstorms over the northern Interior and southern Kimberley with moderate falls. Showers and thunderstorms over the remaining inland Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 24 September
Rain and thunderstorms over the northeast Interior and adjacent Kimberley clearing during the morning.

Forecast for Wednesday 25 September
Showers southwest of a line Lancelin to Bremer Bay. Light falls anticipated.

Forecast for Thursday 26 September
Showers about southern coastal districts and southern Great Southern. Possible showers and thunderstorms through the eastern Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Friday 27 September
Showers and thunderstorms in the eastern South West Land Division, southern and central Goldfields and Eucla. Showers near the western south coast.
