Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough lies over the western Pilbara. A strong high pressure system over southeastern Australia is directing an easterly flow over remaining northern parts.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over the Goldfields and Eucla will move east during Thursday. Weak, mainly middle level systems in a northwesterly flow may cause some rainfall over the far southwest of the State during the next few days but with only light falls and little penetration inland.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 11 September
Showers southwest of a line from Mandurah to Bremer Bay. Fresh and gusty easterly winds over northern parts. Strong northwesterly winds through the Eucla.

Forecast for Thursday 12 September
Showers southwest of a line from Mandurah to Bremer Bay. Fresh and gusty easterly winds over northern parts. Temperatures much warmer than normal through central parts of the State.

Forecast for Friday 13 September
Showers possible about the SW Capes. Fresh and gusty easterly winds over northern parts. Temperatures much warmer than usual through northern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 14 September
Showers about coastal districts between Perth and Esperance, most likely southwest of Bunbury to Albany. Temperatures much warmer than usual through most parts away from the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 15 September
Showers and possible thunderstorms over central and southern parts of the South West Land Division. A cooler change extending from the South West Land Division to the Goldfields and southern Gascoyne and eventually the Eucla.
