Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the west Kimberley into the central Pilbara and will remain generally stationary for the next few days. A high pressure ridge will become established over southern parts of WA from Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front and associated pool of cold air near the south coast will move into the Bight on Thursday. A high pressure ridge will become established over southern parts of WA on Thursday in the wake of the front, with some very cold nights likely over southern inland parts. Another weak cold front may brush the western south coast early Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 4 September
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division, with small hail possible near the south coast. Light showers possible along the west coast south of Lancelin.

Forecast for Thursday 5 September
Widespread morning frost through inland parts of the South West Land Division and the southern Goldfields. Showers and small hail over the south coast east of Bremer Bay and along the Eucla coast, clearing from the west during the day. The chance of thunderstorms near the coast east of Esperance. Thunderstorms possible over the northern Goldfields and adjacent South Interior. Early fog possible over coastal parts of the Pilbara and Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 6 September
Widespread morning frost through inland parts of the South West Land Division, the southern Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior. Early fog possible over coastal parts of the Pilbara and Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 7 September
Widespread morning frost through inland parts of the South West Land Division and the southern Goldfields. Showers possible southwest of a line from Bunbury to Albany.

Forecast for Sunday 8 September
Mostly clear across the State.
