Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the west Kimberley into the central Pilbara and will remain generally stationary for the next few days. A high pressure ridge will become established over southern parts of WA from Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front and associated pool of cold air will move across southern parts during Wednesday, then into the Bight on Thursday. A high pressure ridge will become established over southern parts of WA on Thursday in the wake of the front, with some very cold nights likely over southern inland parts. Another weak cold front may brush the western south coast late Friday or early Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 3 September
Showers southwest of a line from Lancelin to Bremer Bay, with thunderstorms and small hail possible in the south.

Forecast for Wednesday 4 September
Showers southwest of a line from Dongara to Ravensthorpe to Israelite Bay, mostly contracting to southern coastal districts during the afternoon. Thunderstorms and small hail possible about southern coastal districts.

Forecast for Thursday 5 September
Widespread morning frost through inland parts of the South West Land Division and the southern Goldfields. Showers and small hail over the south coast east of Bremer Bay and along the Eucla coast, clearing from the west during the day. The chance of thunderstorms near the coast east of Esperance. Thunderstorms possible over the South Interior.

Forecast for Friday 6 September
Widespread morning frost through inland parts of the South West Land Division, the southern Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior. Showers developing near the western south coast later in the day.

Forecast for Saturday 7 September
Widespread morning frost through inland parts of the South West Land Division and the southern Goldfields. Showers possible southwest of a line from Bunbury to Albany.
