Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the west Kimberley into the central Pilbara and will remain generally stationary for the next few days. A high pressure ridge will become established over southern parts of WA from Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front extends from the Lower West coast towards the western Bight waters and will weaken and slide to the southeast overnight Monday. A westerly airstream will prevail in the wake of the front on Tuesday before another front approaches, reaching the SW Capes in the evening and moving over southern WA during Wednesday. A high pressure ridge will become established over southern parts of WA on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 2 September
Showers over areas southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Hopetoun. Thunderstorms possible southwest of a line Perth to Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Tuesday 3 September
Showers extending through the South West Land Division and into the adjacent southwest Goldfields. The chance of thunderstorms and small hail near coastal areas between Bunbury and Albany in the late afternoon and evening. A band of showers and possible thunderstorms also developing through the southeast Gascoyne, central Goldfields and adjacent Eucla.

Forecast for Wednesday 4 September
Showers southwest of a line from Dongara to Southern Cross to Israelite Bay contracting to southern coastal districts during the afternoon. Thunderstorms and small hail possible about southern coastal districts.

Forecast for Thursday 5 September
Widespread morning frost through central and inland parts of the South West Land Division and the adjacent southwest Goldfields. Showers and small hail over southern coastal districts and along the Eucla coast, clearing from the west during the day. The chance of thunderstorms near the coast east of Esperance.

Forecast for Friday 6 September
Widespread morning frost through central and inland parts of the South West Land Division and the adjacent southern Goldfields. Showers developing over areas southwest of a line Bunbury to Bremer Bay.
