Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the west Kimberley into the central Pilbara and will remain near stationary for the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong cold front will reach the southwest corner of the State Friday evening and move across the South West Land Division Friday night and Saturday morning. A second strong cold front is then expected to cross the south of the State during Sunday. A third cold front will then slide across southern parts during Monday before weakening on Tuesday morning.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 30 August
Showers and possible thunderstorms southwest of a line from Lancelin to Albany, with damaging winds possible southwest of a line from Mandurah to Walpole later in the evening. Showers and thunderstorms over the Eucla and adjacent Interior. Showers over the Goldfields and the Southeast Coastal district, clearing during the evening.

Forecast for Saturday 31 August
Showers over the South West Land Division and adjacent Goldfields, contracting to near southern coastal parts and during the afternoon and evening. Early thunderstorms possible southwest of a line from Lancelin to Bremer Bay. Small hail possible over the coastal and adjacent inland areas between Cape Naturaliste and Albany. Showers and thunderstorms over the Eucla and adjacent Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 1 September
Showers southwest of a line Geraldton to Bremer Bay in the morning and extending to southwest of a line Kalbarri to Esperance in the afternoon and evening. Thunderstorms and gusty winds possible southwest of a line from Lancelin to Hopetoun.

Forecast for Monday 2 September
Showers and possible thunderstorms over areas southwest of a line from Lancelin to Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Tuesday 3 September
Showers and possible thunderstorms extending through the South West Land Division and into the adjacent Goldfields. Showers also possible over the Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
