Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough over the west Pilbara will move slowly east during Friday and
will lie over the Kimberley and North Interior Saturday morning. A trough will
re-develop along the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts on Sunday.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front weakens as it progresses through Bight waters Friday afternoon and
evening. A ridge of high pressure develops near the south coast in the wake of
the front on Saturday with a high forming in the Bight on Sunday. The high will
remain in the Bight until the middle of next week.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 23 August
Showers throughout the South West Land Division, adjacent Goldfields and the
western Eucla easing and contracting to the south coast in the evening.
Possible thunderstorms and small hail near the south coast east of Esperance.
Forecast for Saturday 24 August
Widespread morning frost over the South West land Division away from the south
coast. Showers over the southern coastal districts east of Albany, the Eucla
and South Interior, easing during the day.
Forecast for Sunday 25 August
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern Goldfields and adjacent Gascoyne
and South Interior.
Forecast for Monday 26 August
Showers and thunderstorms over the South Interior, northern Goldfields and
adjacent Gascoyne.
Forecast for Tuesday 27 August
Showers and thunderstorms over the southeast Interior, clearing during the day.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
