Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over southern parts of the State resulting in a fresh east to southeasterly flow across the north for most of the coming week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over southern parts of the State. A cold front will approach the State during Thursday, moving through the South West Land Division Thursday night and Friday morning. A new high pressure ridge develops near the south coast in the wake of the front on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 20 August
Clear conditions across the State.

Forecast for Wednesday 21 August
Mostly sunny day. Gusty easterly winds over northern districts in the morning.

Forecast for Thursday 22 August
Rain developing about the Southwest Capes during the afternoon and reaching southwest of a line Shark Bay to Albany during the evening. Possible thunderstorms about the coast between Geraldton and Albany in the evening.

Forecast for Friday 23 August
Showers throughout the South West Land Division, southern and western Gascoyne, southwestern Goldfields and the western Eucla. Possible thunderstorms and small hail near the south coast, with early thunderstorms also possible along the west coast south of Kalbarri.

Forecast for Saturday 24 August
Showers possible along the southern and Eucla coasts.
