Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is strengthening over southern WA, producing a generally easterly flow across the north. A broad trough will develop along the Pilbara and Kimberley coast from Sunday as a high pressure cell moves into the Bight. A develops off the Western Pilbara on Monday before moving east on Tuesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies through southern and central parts of WA and will remain there over the coming days with an onshore flow persisting near the south coast. A high pressure system will move south of the State over the weekend, moving east through the Bight on Monday. A trough develops off the west coast on Monday, moving inland over the South West Land Division on Tuesday as a second trough approaches the west coast.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 9 August
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 10 August
Showers over southern coastal districts east of Walpole and adjacent Great Southern, the southern Goldfields, Eucla and adjacent Interior. Windy across the central and eastern Pilbara and southwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 11 August
Showers about the south coast east of Albany and the Eucla.

Forecast for Monday 12 August
Showers near the Eucla coast and developing about the southwest Capes during the evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 13 August
Showers southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Hopetoun. Thunderstorms over South West, South Coastal and adjacent Great Southern.
