Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong high in the eastern Bight is producing a fresh easterly flow over northern parts, which will gradually ease over the weekend as the high moves away to the east.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high pressure system lies over the eastern Bight, and will move east over the weekend as a cold front moves over the South West Land Division during Saturday. A westerly flow will persist over southern parts on Sunday in the wake of the front. Another cold front will approach the southwest corner of the State on Sunday night, and will move slowly through the South West Land Division during Monday.

Generally clear conditions across the State. Windy through northern and western parts.
Forecast for Saturday 3 August
Showers and thunderstorms developing about the SW Capes during the late morning, then extending through areas southwest of a line from Geraldton to Albany during the afternoon. Showers extending throughout remaining parts southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Esperance in the evening. Light falls inland.
Forecast for Sunday 4 August
Showers southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay, increasing near the southwest corner in the evening. Showers also possible over the remainder of the South West Land Division and the adjacent Gascoyne and Goldfields, but with only light falls.
Forecast for Monday 5 August
Showers through the South West Land Division and the adjacent Gascoyne and Goldfields, reaching the Eucla during the day.
Forecast for Tuesday 6 August
Showers along the south coast and Eucla coast. Showers near the west coast south of Lancelin.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
