Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough near the west Pilbara coast will move eastwards during Friday and and reach the Kimberley on Saturday as a new high pressure ridge develops over central parts of the State, persisting into early next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong cold front will move over the South West Land Division and weaken as it reaches the Gascoyne and Goldfields early Saturday. A ridge of high pressure will build over central parts of the State in wake of the front with another cold front expected to brush the south coast later on Sunday. The high pressure ridge will move over southern WA on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 19 July
Showers extending throughout the South West Land Division during the day, reaching the southwest Gascoyne and far southwest Goldfields in the evening. Thunderstorms possible southwest of a line from Lancelin to Esperance in the afternoon and evening. Small hail possible over the Lower West and South West districts in the evening. Moderate falls expected over areas southwest of Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Saturday 20 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, southwest Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla contracting to the west and south coast during the morning. Thunderstorms and small hail possible over western and southern districts contracting to southern coastal parts during the early morning.

Forecast for Sunday 21 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, most likely near the west and south coasts.

Forecast for Monday 22 July
Showers over the South West Land Division and adjacent Goldfields and Gascoyne, contracting to the south coast by evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 23 July
Areas of morning frost over the Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern and adjacent Goldfields. Showers over the South West District and along the south coast. Showers also developing about the western Pilbara.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
