Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong ridge of high pressure lies over southern parts of the State and will extend east over the coming days, maintaining a general east to southeasterly flow over the region. The ridge will weaken and trough will develop near the west Pilbara later on Wednesday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high pressure system lies over the Bight and extends a ridge across southern WA. The high will move very gradually east over the coming days. A weak cold front is expected to reach the South West Capes Wednesday evening and push through southwestern parts of the South West Land Division on Thursday. A second, more significant cold front moves over the South West Land Division during Friday.

Mostly sunny across the State, windy over northern districts.
Forecast for Tuesday 16 July
Mostly sunny across the State, wind easing over northern districts. Slight chance of a light shower about the coast from Augusta to Walpole.
Forecast for Wednesday 17 July
Widespread morning frost about southeastern parts of the State. Showers developing about the southwest Capes in the evening. Windy over northern districts.
Forecast for Thursday 18 July
Showers extending further north and east to reach southwest of a line Lancelin to Esperance.
Forecast for Friday 19 July
Showers extending throughout the South West Land Division and into the adjacent southern Gascoyne, southwestern Goldfields and far western Eucla by the evening. Possible thunderstorms about coastal districts from Jurien Bay to Esperance in the afternoon and evening.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
