Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies across central parts of the State with a general east to southeasterly flow over northern districts. A trough will develop over the western Pilbara during Thursday, with a weakening rain band forecast to reach western parts of the Pilbara later on Thursday and early Friday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge lies across central parts of the State with a weak onshore flow over southwestern parts. The high pressure ridge will gradually migrate south of WA and during Tuesday, contracting eastwards on Wednesday ahead of a strong cold front expected to move through the west of the state during Thursday. A pool of cold, unstable air will move across southern parts in the wake of the front on Friday.

Showers over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Tuesday 2 July
Showers near the southern and Eucla coasts, and along the west coast south of Jurien Bay. Light showers extending inland through the southern Central West and the Central Wheat Belt for a period during the day.
Forecast for Wednesday 3 July
Showers about the South West Capes and near the Eucla coast.
Forecast for Thursday 4 July
A rain band with isolated thunderstorms extending through the South West Land Division, Gascoyne and west Pilbara during the day, reaching the western Goldfields in the late afternoon or evening. Moderate to heavy falls and gusty winds about western districts. Showers persisting in the wake of the rain band, with thunderstorms possible over western parts south of Jurien Bay.
Forecast for Friday 5 July
Showers across the South West Land Division, easing over inland parts later in the day. Possible small hail in the south. Thunderstorms near the south coast, with morning thunderstorms also possible near the west coast south of Jurien Bay.
Showers over the western Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and southwest Interior, contracting to southeastern parts of the State during the day.
