Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies to the south and a weak trough will develop near the coast from time to time over the next couple of days. The ridge will push north off the Pilbara coast on Wednesday with a trough moving east across the Pilbara on Thursday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over central parts of the State with an onshore flow persisting about the southwest corner. A strong cold front will move through the South West Land Division during Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 24 June
Light showers about the coast between Lancelin and Albany.
Forecast for Tuesday 25 June
Showers about the South West and adjacent Lower West districts. Light rain developing about the southwest Gascoyne and adjacent Central West later in the day.
Forecast for Wednesday 26 June
Rain over the southern Gascoyne and northern Central West extending into Central Wheat Belt, and southwest Goldfields during the day. Showers near the west coast, extending inland through the South West Land Division during the day, with thunderstorms possible southwest of a line Perth to Hopetoun. Possible moderate falls about the far southwest Gascoyne, Lower West and South West Districts.
Forecast for Thursday 27 June
Rain over the Gascoyne, far western Pilbara, Central Wheat Belt, Goldfields and Eucla, easing during the day. Showers through the South West Land Division and adjacent Gascoyne and Goldfields, with thunderstorms and small hail possible southwest of a line Perth to Hopetoun.
Forecast for Friday 28 June
Showers over the South West Land Division, southeast Goldfields, South Interior and Eucla, easing during the day. Morning thunderstorms and small hail possible about the western and southern coasts between Perth and Israelite Bay.
