Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong high pressure system over southeastern Australia will direct dry east to southeasterly winds over northern parts for the next few days. A trough will start to develop over the inland Kimberley and Pilbara during Thursday and Friday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weakening high pressure system in the Bight will move east ahead of a cold front that will move through southwestern parts of the State during Thursday. Cool southerly winds behind the front as a low develops in the Bight during Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 14 May
Partly cloudy near the south coast. Sunny across the remainder of the State.
Forecast for Wednesday 15 May
Showers developing about the South West district near midnight Wednesday night.
Forecast for Thursday 16 May
Showers extending through the South West Land Division during the day, reaching all but far northeastern part with mainly light falls. Small hail possible near the south coast in the evening. Showers developing over the southwest Goldfields and southwest Gascoyne during the afternoon and evening.
Forecast for Friday 17 May
Showers and small hail possible over southern parts of the South West Land Division and the Eucla. Thunderstorms possible over the Eucla. Showers clearing the southern and eastern Goldfields during the day.
Forecast for Saturday 18 May
Showers over southern coastal parts east of Denmark, reaching the southern Goldfields during the morning. Windy with showers, thunderstorms and small hail near the Eucla coast.
