Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough lies near the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts. By late Wednesday a strong ridge of high pressure will develop over the south of the State which will lead to the trough contracting offshore with strong east to southeasterly wind surges through to the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak front will brush the south coast on Wednesday. A ridge will develop over southern parts of the State in the wake of the front, with a high moving slowly along the south coast during Thursday and Friday. By Saturday the high pressure system will lie over eastern Bight waters.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 7 May
Showers about the western south coast and adjacent inland parts.

Forecast for Wednesday 8 May
Showers over southern coastal districts, extending into the Great Southern for a period during the day. Showers increasing about the Eucla coast in the evening.

Forecast for Thursday 9 May
Morning frost through the southern Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern and adjacent inland parts of the South West and South Coastal districts. Showers about coastal parts of the Eucla.

Forecast for Friday 10 May
Morning frost through the southern Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern and adjacent inland parts of the South West and South Coastal districts.

Forecast for Saturday 11 May
Mostly sunny conditions for the majority of the State.
