Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough lies near the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts. By midweek, a strong ridge of high pressure develops over the south of the State which will lead to the trough contracting offshore from the north Kimberley and strong east to southeasterly wind surges through to the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front is moving east along the south coast with a ridge of high pressure then developing over southern parts of the State with a high remaining anchored to the southwest of Cape Leeuwin through to Thursday. A weak front will move over the Southeast Coastal district and the Eucla on Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 6 May
Showers about western coastal parts south of Perth and along the south coast. Only light falls expected.

Forecast for Tuesday 7 May
Morning frost through the Central Wheat Belt and Great Southern. Showers along the south coast and adjacent inland parts. Early morning showers about western coastal parts south of Mandurah.

Forecast for Wednesday 8 May
Showers over southern coastal districts, extending into the Great Southern for a period during the day. Showers increasing about the Eucla coast in the evening.

Forecast for Thursday 9 May
Morning frost through the southern Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern and adjacent inland parts of the South West and South Coastal districts. Showers about coastal parts of the Eucla.

Forecast for Friday 10 May
Morning frost through the southern Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern and adjacent inland parts of the South West and South Coastal districts. Showers about coastal parts of the Eucla.
