Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough lies near the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts. The trough will push off of the Pilbara coast for periods during the next few mornings.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system is moving into the Bight. A trough will develop west of the State on Friday and move east on Saturday as a weakening cold front crosses the southwest during the morning. Another front will approach the southwest later on Sunday and move across southern parts of the State on Monday morning.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 2 May
Showers possible the south coast east of Esperance. Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 3 May
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley. Areas of morning frost possible over southern inland parts.

Forecast for Saturday 4 May
Showers developing about the Southwest Capes during the early morning and extending to remaining areas southwest of Geraldton to Merredin to Hopetoun by the afternoon before contracting to areas southwest of Mandurah to Walpole by the evening. Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 5 May
Showers over areas southwest of Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay, increasing over areas southwest of Perth to Albany during the evening. Showers and thunderstorms possible over the northwestern Kimberley coast.

Forecast for Monday 6 May
Showers extending throughout the South West Land Division during the morning, then contracting to areas southwest of Perth to Israelite Bay in the afternoon. Only light falls reaching northern and eastern parts. Possible morning thunderstorms near the eastern south coast. Showers developing over the southern Goldfields and western Eucla during the day, with thunderstorms possible in the far southwest Eucla.
