Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough lies near the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts. The trough will push off of the Pilbara coast for periods during the next few mornings.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep low pressure system lies in the Bight and is continuing to contract east. A ridge extends over the southwest of the State and will strengthen on Thursday as it extends to remaining southern parts. A trough will develop west of the State on Friday and move inland on Saturday as a cold front crosses the southwest during the morning. Another front will approach the southwest later on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 1 May
Showers over southern coastal districts easing west of Esperance in the late afternoon and evening. Small hail and thunderstorms possible near the Eucla coast. Showers and thunderstorms over northern and eastern parts of the Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 2 May
Showers along the south coast east of Bremer Bay. Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 3 May
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 4 May
Showers developing about the Southwest Capes during the early morning and extending to remaining areas southwest of Geraldton to Hopetoun by the afternoon and extending along the remaining south coast west of Israelite Bay in the evening. Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 5 May
Showers with the chance of a thunderstorm over the northwestern Kimberley coast. Showers over areas southwest of Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay.
