Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over the south of the State will cause a fresh and gusty east to southeasterly flow to develop over the Pilbara and west Kimberley on Monday, easing on Tuesday as a trough redevelops along the Pilbara coast. A return to the fresh southeasterly flow will again cause the trough to move offshore for a period on Wednesday morning.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is developing over the south of the State and will be maintained during the week. A weak cold front will reach the SW Capes Monday evening, skimming the south coast Tuesday morning. A new ridge of high pressure develops over the south coast during Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 21 April
Isolated showers and thunderstorm possible over the northwest Kimberley coast, clearing during the evening. Light showers about the Eucla coast, clearing in the early evening.
Forecast for Monday 22 April
Isolated showers and thunderstorms possible over the northwest Kimberley coast during the afternoon and early evening. Light isolated showers about the Eucla coast, clearing in the afternoon. Chance of isolated showers also developing about the South West and adjacent South Coastal districts in the late evening.
Forecast for Tuesday 23 April
Showers over coastal and adjacent inland parts between the South West Capes and Albany. Light morning showers also about the Eucla coast.
Forecast for Wednesday 24 April
Slight chance of light morning showers about the coast in the South Coastal and Eucla districts.
Forecast for Thursday 25 April
Light morning showers about parts of the of the South Coastal and Eucla districts in the morning. Possible isolated showers and thunderstorms in the northern Kimberley during the afternoon and early evening.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Monday.
