Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies along the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts. A weakening tropical lies to the north of the Pilbara and will move towards the NW Cape over the weekend.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough near the west coast, will move inland during Saturday. A cold front that will cross the southwest of the State on Sunday. A series of cold fronts will cross the southwest on Monday and Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 12 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the far north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Interior, Eucla, eastern and far northern parts of the South West Land Division, tending to rain over central parts.
Forecast for Saturday 13 April
Showers and thunderstorms possible near the west Kimberley coast. Showers and thunderstorms over the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, southern and central Interior and the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Sunday 14 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, southwest Interior, northern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers developing over the remaining South West Land Division during the day.
Forecast for Monday 15 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, northeast Goldfields, eastern Eucla and the southern and central Interior. Showers over the South West Land Division and coastal parts of the Gascoyne.
Forecast for Tuesday 16 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, southeast Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, eastern Eucla and the southern and central Interior. Showers over most of the South West Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
