Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A low pressure system lies to the north of the Pilbara and will move west over the coming days. A broad trough lies along the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts. The low may move towards and cross the western Pilbara coast over the weekend before contracting southeast through the State on Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the eastern Gascoyne to the western Eucla and will contract eastwards tonight as a weak front brushes the southwest of the State. A high pressure system will move south of the State on Friday with another trough developing near the west coast. This trough will move inland during Saturday ahead of a cold front that will cross the southwest of the State on Sunday. Another front will cross the southwest on Monday.

Showers and thunderstorms over the far north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, western and southern Goldfields, western Eucla and eastern and northern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers about southwestern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 12 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the far north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Interior, Eucla and eastern and far northern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers about remaining southern coastal parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 13 April
Showers and thunderstorms possible near the west Kimberley coast. Showers and thunderstorms over the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, southern and central Interior and the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 14 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, southwest Interior and northern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers developing over the remaining South West Land Division during the day.

Forecast for Monday 15 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, northeast Goldfields, eastern Eucla and the southern and central Interior. Showers over the South West Land Division and the adjacent southwest Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Friday.
