Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A moderate to fresh east to southeasterly flow will push a surface trough offshore from the Pilbara coast in the morning for the few days. A tropical low is developing north of the Kimberley and is forecast to move west to southwest over the next few days. From late Friday there is a chance the system is close enough to produce a period of gales and heavy rain over the coastal parts of the far northern and northwestern Kimberley. Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A new ridge lies to the south of the State with a weak cold front brushing along the south coast late Saturday and during Sunday. A new ridge develops in the wake of the front with a high moving into the Bight later Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 5 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley. Showers along the Eucla coast, clearing in the early evening.

Forecast for Saturday 6 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the central and northern Kimberley. Showers about the south coast west of Bremer Bay, mainly afternoon.

Forecast for Sunday 7 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley. Showers about the south coast between Augusta and Israelite Bay, clearing from the west in the morning.

Forecast for Monday 8 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley and along the east Pilbara coast. Showers about the south coast between Bremer Bay and Israelite Bay in the morning.

Forecast for Tuesday 9 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley and mainly the eastern parts of the Pilbara.
