Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A fresh east to southeasterly flow will push a surface trough offshore from the Pilbara coast for the next few mornings.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extends from the western Gascoyne to central parts of the South West Land Division and is moving eastwards tonight and Tuesday. A ridge will develop over southwestern parts in the wake of the trough on Tuesday with another trough developing off of the west coast by Wednesday morning. This trough will begin to move inland Wednesday afternoon ahead of a cold front that moves over the southwest of the State on Thursday. A new ridge will develop near the south coast on Friday.

Showers and thunderstorms over the South West Land Division, western Gascoyne and the southwest Goldfields.

Forecast for Tuesday 2 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the South West Land Division, southern and western Gascoyne, southwest Goldfields and the western Eucla, easing from western parts during the afternoon and evening. A chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm in the western Pilbara.

Forecast for Wednesday 3 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, southern Gascoyne and the western Eucla.

Forecast for Thursday 4 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the eastern South West Land Division, far southern Gascoyne, southwest Goldfields and the western Eucla, contracting east to the Eucla district during the day. Showers over remaining parts of the South West Land Division contracting to the south coast by evening. A chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm for the northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 5 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley. Morning showers along the south coast west of Israelite Bay.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Tuesday.
