Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends through inland parts of the Kimberley and Pilbara and will drift slowly west over the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad surface trough lies over central parts of the State. A ridge of high pressure will develop to the southwest of the state during Sunday and Monday, with a high pressure system moving south of the State on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 9 March
Rain over the South West Land Division and adjacent southern Goldfields and Eucla. Patchy and generally light falls anticipated. Showers and thunderstorms over the coastal north and west Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 10 March
Rain over southern and central parts of the South West Land Division and the adjacent Eucla and southern Goldfields. Patchy, generally light falls anticipated and gradually clearing during the day. Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 11 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Pilbara and the adjacent Interior. Showers over eastern parts of the South West Land Division and the southern Eucla, clearing during the day.

Forecast for Tuesday 12 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, North Interior, and inland Gascoyne.

Forecast for Wednesday 13 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, west Interior, inland Gascoyne, and northern Goldfields. Showers possible near the western south coast.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Sunday.
