Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the inland Kimberley to the inland Pilbara and will remain fairly stationary for the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front will move south of the state overnight with a ridge of high pressure developing in its wake. A broad surface trough lies over central parts of the state, with a branch developing down the west coast during Saturday, before moving eastwards during Saturday night and Sunday. A new ridge of high pressure will develop to the southwest of the state on Monday, with a high pressure system moving south of the state on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 7 March
Rain over mainly western and southern parts of the South West Land Division and adjacent Goldfields and Eucla. Showers and thunderstorms over parts of the north and west Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 8 March
Rain over mainly western and southern parts of the South West Land Division and adjacent Goldfields. Patchy, mainly light falls anticipated. Showers and thunderstorms over coastal parts of the north and west Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 9 March
Rain over mainly western and southern parts of the South West Land Division and adjacent southern Goldfields and Eucla. Patchy, mainly light falls anticipated. Showers and thunderstorms over the coastal north and west Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 10 March
Showers over southern and central parts of the Southwest Land Division, gradually clearing during the day. Areas of rain about the Eucla and southeast Goldfields, clearing in the morning. Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 11 March
Showers over southern coastal parts of the Southwest Land Division. Areas of rain about the Eucla and southeast Goldfields, clearing during the day. Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and Pilbara.
