Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the inland Kimberley to the Pilbara and will remain fairly stationary for the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system lies over the Bight with a surface trough near the west coast. A weak front will move over the south coast late on Monday and during Tuesday after which a more significant, stronger high pressure ridge develops well south of the State. A deep trough will develop offshore from the west coast during the middle of the week as the high pressure system transition through the Bight.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 3 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne and the far northern Goldfields.

Forecast for Monday 4 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and northern parts of the Central West. Showers near the south coast west of Bremer Bay developing in the evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 5 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, and southern Interior. Rain and the chance of thunderstorms over the western Pilbara, Gascoyne and Central West districts. Showers about southern coastal districts.

Forecast for Wednesday 6 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley and coastal east Pilbara. Rain and the chance of thunderstorms over the southwest Gascoyne, and gradually extending through the South West Land Division and adjacent southwest Goldfields during the day. Coastal morning showers possible in the Eucla.

Forecast for Thursday 7 March
Rain over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Eucla and southern Gascoyne with the chance of thunderstorms in northern parts of this area. Showers and thunderstorms mostly near the coast through the Kimberley and through inland parts of the Pilbara and northern Gascoyne.
