Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the inland Kimberley to the Pilbara and will remain fairly stationary for the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the eastern Pilbara to the southern Interior and is moving east into South Australia. A ridge of high pressure is developing near the south coast with a high pressure system moving into the Bight on Sunday. A surface trough will form near the west coast by Sunday afternoon. A stronger high pressure ridge develops well south of the State during Monday as the trough deepens near the west coast. The trough will move eastwards on Tuesday as a new high pressure system develops to the southwest of the state.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 2 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, eastern Eucla and northeastern Gascoyne. Showers about southern coastal parts west of Albany.

Forecast for Sunday 3 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne and the far northern Goldfields. Early morning thunderstorms about the eastern Eucla. Early morning showers about southern coastal parts west of Albany.

Forecast for Monday 4 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and northern parts of the Central West. Showers near the south coast west of Bremer Bay developing in the evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 5 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne, far northern Goldfields and northern Central West. Showers about southern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 6 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, west Gascoyne and far northern Central west. Morning showers about the Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Sunday.
