Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the inland Kimberley to the Pilbara and will remain fairly stationary for the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the eastern Pilbara to the southern Interior and is contracting eastwards into South Australia. A ridge of high pressure is developing near the south coast tonight and during Saturday with a high pressure system moving into the Bight on Sunday. A surface trough will form near the west coast by Sunday afternoon. A stronger high pressure ridge develops well south of the State during Monday as the trough deepens near the west coast.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 1 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, eastern Gascoyne, eastern Goldfields and the Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 2 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior and northeastern Gascoyne. Thunderstorms clearing from the eastern Goldfields and Eucla by late morning.

Forecast for Sunday 3 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne and the far northern Goldfields.

Forecast for Monday 4 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Interior, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and northern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers near the south coast.

Forecast for Tuesday 5 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne, Goldfields, northern Eucla and northern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers in remaining southern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
