Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the North Interior to the inland Pilbara. The eastern portion of the trough will move north into the Kimberley over the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extends from the Gascoyne, through the Goldfields into the Eucla, and will contract slowly east over the weekend. A weak cold front will brush the southwest of the state late Saturday. A new surface trough will develop near the west coast on Monday, before moving inland during Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 22 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, Interior, far east Goldfields and the western Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 23 February
Shower and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, North Interior, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields and western Eucla. Late showers and thunderstorms possible over the eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers near the southwest Capes. Very hot over northern and eastern parts of the State.

Forecast for Sunday 24 February
Shower and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, inland Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Eucla and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers near the south coast. Very hot over northern and eastern parts of the State.

Forecast for Monday 25 February
Shower and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and western Pilbara and the northwest Gascoyne. Showers near the south coast east of Albany. Very hot over northern and central parts of the State.

Forecast for Tuesday 26 February
Shower and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and western Pilbara and the northwest Gascoyne. Very hot over northern and western parts of the State.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
