Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the central Gascoyne to the northern Interior and will gradually contract northwards on Thursday and Friday before moving south on Saturday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the Gascoyne to the western Eucla and will contract northeastwards ahead of a weak front brushing the south coast this evening. A new ridge of high pressure will develop to the south of the State on Wednesday. Another surface trough will develop near the west coast by Thursday, and then move inland during Friday as another weak front brushes the southwest of the State on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 29 January
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern and western Interior and the northern Gascoyne. Showers about the eastern south coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 30 January
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Pilbara, North Interior and northern Gascoyne. Possible morning showers about the eastern south coast.

Forecast for Thursday 31 January
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Pilbara, North Interior and northeast Gascoyne. Very hot over northwestern parts of the South West Land Division and the western Gascoyne.

Forecast for Friday 1 February
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Pilbara, North Interior and central Gascoyne. Very hot over the South West Land Division. Very hot over northern and western parts of the State.

Forecast for Saturday 2 February
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Pilbara, far northwest Interior and the Gascoyne. Showers developing about the south coast west of Hopetoun during the day. Very hot over the Goldfields and northern parts of the State.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Wednesday.
