Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A surface trough lies through the Pilbara and North Interior, where it will remain for the next few days before moving south from into the South Interior on Tuesday

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge lies south of the State. A surface trough lies down the west coast and deepens further on Saturday, before moving inland from the west coast during Sunday, contracting eastwards towards the Goldfields during Monday and remaining there on Tuesday. A weak cold front brushes the southwest coastal area on Monday evening. A branch of the trough develops over the southwest parts Tuesday evening.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 18 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior, northeastern Goldfields. Showers along the Eucla coast.

Forecast for Saturday 19 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and North Interior and eastern Eucla. Very hot through the Gascoyne and western parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 20 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, north and east Interior and the inland Gascoyne. Very hot through the Gascoyne and most of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 21 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, north and east Interior, the inland Gascoyne and central and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers developing along the southwest coast between Albany and Cape Leeuwin in the evening. Very hot through the Gascoyne, Goldfields and inland parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Tuesday 22 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields and southeastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers over the Lower West, South West, South Coastal and Great Southern. Very hot through eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, South East Coastal, Eucla and South Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
