Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends across the inland Pilbara and central Kimberley. The trough will extend offshore of the Pilbara coast on Thursday, also drifting into the North Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak trough extends from the Gascoyne to the Eucla district and is slowly moving east. A ridge is gradually extending along the south coast in the wake of the trough. A weak front will brush the southwest coast on Thursday before the ridge drifts south of the State by Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 26 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley, northeast Interior and inland Gascoyne. Isolated showers and thunderstorms over the southern Goldfields and adjacent Eucla, and northern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. A hot night through northern and eastern inland areas.

Forecast for Thursday 27 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley and North Interior. Isolated showers and thunderstorms in northeastern parts of the South West Land Division, southern and central Goldfields, eastern Southeast Coastal and Eucla. Showers near the western south coast and adjacent parts. Very hot through the north and east.

Forecast for Friday 28 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, and far eastern Pilbara. Morning showers near the south coast. Very hot through the north and east.

Forecast for Saturday 29 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior and the Eucla. Very hot through the north and east.

Forecast for Sunday 30 December
Showers and thunderstorms through the Kimberley. Isolated mostly dry showers and thunderstorms through the interior. Very hot through the north and east.
