Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends across the inland Pilbara and central Kimberley and will drift towards the North Interior on Thursday as a high pressure ridge develops to the south of the State.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak trough lies over the South Interior with another trough developing inland from the west coast. The trough near the west coast will move slowly further inland during the remainder of Tuesday and on Wednesday with a ridge gradually extending along the south coast in the wake of the trough. A high pressure system will remain centred to the west of the State.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 25 December
Shower and thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, Gascoyne, Central West, Central Wheat Belt, inland western Pilbara and the adjacent Goldfields. Very hot through most inland parts.

Forecast for Wednesday 26 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Interior, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, northern parts of the South West Land Division and the adjacent Eucla and South Interior. Very hot through most inland parts.

Forecast for Thursday 27 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, North Interior, southeastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and northeastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers near the western south coast and adjacent parts. Very hot through the north and east.

Forecast for Friday 28 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, far eastern Pilbara and the Eucla. Morning showers near the south coast. Very hot through the north and east.

Forecast for Saturday 29 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior and the Eucla.
