Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends across the inland Pilbara and central Kimberley and will drift towards the North Interior on Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak trough lies over the South Interior with another trough developing near the west coast. The trough near the west coast will move slowly inland on Tuesday and Wednesday with a ridge gradually extending along the south coast in the wake of the trough.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 24 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the west Kimberley, inland Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and northern Central West.

Forecast for Tuesday 25 December
Shower and thunderstorms in the northwest Kimberley, inland Gascoyne, inland Central West, northeastern Central Wheat Belt, inland western Pilbara and the adjacent Goldfields. Very hot through most inland parts.

Forecast for Wednesday 26 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, northeast Interior, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, northern parts of the South West Land Division and the adjacent Eucla and South Interior. Very hot through most inland parts.

Forecast for Thursday 27 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, North Interior, southeastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, far southern Interior, Eucla and northeastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers for the western south coast and adjacent parts. Very hot through the north and east.

Forecast for Friday 28 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Interior, eastern Goldfields, and the Eucla. Morning showers for coastal parts of the South East Coastal district. Very hot through the north and east.
