Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends across the inland Pilbara and central Kimberley and should remain through inland parts from Sunday to middle parts of next week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system lies in the Bight and is moving slowly east. A trough across the central southern parts will redeveloping near the west coast on Monday as a high pressure system moves south of the state. The trough will remain fairly stationary on Tuesday, before contracting eastwards overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. A new ridge develops across the south of the state on Thursday as the trough pushes northwards into the central parts of the state.

Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the west Kimberley, southwest Gascoyne, Central West, western Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern, inland Lower West, eastern South Coastal and western South East coastal districts.
Forecast for Monday 24 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the north and west Kimberley, inland Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and northern Central West. Chance of a shower near the western south coast. Very hot in the inland Kimberley, inland Pilbara, inland western Gascoyne and inland northern South West Land Division.
Forecast for Tuesday 25 December
Shower and thunderstorms in the north Kimberley, inland Gascoyne, inland Central West, northern Central Wheat Belt and adjacent Goldfields. Chance of a shower near the south coast. Very hot through most inland parts.
Forecast for Wednesday 26 December
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, northeast Interior, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and north South West Land Division. Chance of a shower near the south coast. Very hot through most inland parts.
Forecast for Thursday 27 December
Showers and thunderstorm in the Kimberley, North Interior, inland Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, southern South Interior, Eucla ands northeast Central Wheat Belt. Showers southwest of a line from Perth to Katanning to Israelite Bay. Very hot thorough the north and east.
